WVEE-FM/WAOK-AM's REGGIE ROUSE PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT, URBAN PROGRAMMING FOR CBS RADIO
Reggie Rouse has been named Vice President, Urban Programming, CBS RADIO. The appointment was announced today by Greg Strassell, Senior Vice President, Programming for the Company.
Rouse’s new responsibilities include overseeing the Company’s urban programming efforts and working with program directors of CBS RADIO stations WPGC-FM in Washington, D.C., WLLD-FM in Tampa, WPEG-FM and WBAV-FM in Charlotte, WJMH-FM in Orlando, WMBX-FM and WNEW-FM in West Palm Beach, and WZMX-FM in Hartford. He will continue in his role as Program Director for Atlanta’s WVEE-FM, the market’s No. 1 radio station, and WAOK-AM where he has consistently introduced new talent and programming to the listeners.
Rouse is a 16-year radio veteran with experience in all levels of radio operations and programming. Before arriving in Atlanta in 2005, he served as Producer of WPGC’s "The Donnie Simpson Show," and was later named Operations Manager of the renowned station (1998 -2005). His other experience includes program director and music director roles at WBLS-FM in N.Y. (1996-97), WAEG/WAEJ- FM in Augusta, Ga (1995-96) and WQKS-FM in Hopkinsville/Ft. Campbell, Ky. (1991-95).
Earlier this year, Rouse was named one of the industry’s Best Program Directors by Radio Ink magazine.
He attended Syracuse University, and is a member of the Omega Psi Phi and Prince Hall Masons social action organizations.
