CBS RADIO OFFERS MOST LISTENED TO ONLINE RADIO SERVICE


In the just released comScore Arbitron Online Radio Ratings CBS RADIO has earned the top spot among all entities tracked by the online audience measurement service. This marks the first comScore ratings report for CBS RADIO since the launch of its partnership with AOL Radio on June 10.

Additionally, according to the Internet Radio Top 20, Ando Media’s listing of the top-performing Internet radio stations measured by the Webcast Metrics audience measurement platform (Monday-Sunday, 6:00AM-12Midnight), CBS RADIO’s audio streams saw an increase in cume of more than 65% from May to June. Millions of listeners are discovering and experiencing hundreds of stations as a result of the combination of CBS RADIO properties along with AOL Radio’s online offerings in one portal.

The new player, powered by CBS RADIO, provides listeners one stop access to more than 200 AOL Radio channels along with 150 CBS RADIO stations and custom channels and features myriad formats including music, news, talk and sports that were previously unavailable to AOL Radio users.

Ando Media statistics for the week ending July 26 show significant improvement for several individual stations when compared to figures for the week prior to the AOL launch. The top 5 most listened to CBS RADIO stations were WFAN, KLSX, KROQ, WXRK, and KTWV whose combined weekly audience increased by close to 50%.

The additional exposure for CBS RADIO’s HD 2 stations in Chicago (WJMK-FM HD 2; classic hits), Detroit (WYCD-FM HD 2; new country music), Phoenix (KOOL-FM HD 2; 70s music), Denver (KXKL-FM HD 2; All No.1 Radio) and Pittsburgh (WDSY-FM HD 2; new country music), which are also streamed online, resulted in triple digit percentage increases.
