FRESH 102.7 DEBUTS IN NEW YORK
FEATURING ORIGINAL CONTEMPORARY SOUND UNIQUE TO MARKET
FRESH 102.7, a new station featuring today’s soft music, debuted this morning, Tuesday, January 2. The station highlights music from the 90s and today, and offers a brand new alternative to the current adult contemporary stations in the market.
Targeted towards women 25-44, FRESH 102.7 will be highly focused on the 30-40 year old woman with an emphasis on songs released within the last decade. A typical hour of music will feature artists such as John Mayer, James Blunt, Alicia Keys, MatchBox 20, Marc Anthony, The Fray, Christina Aguilera and Dido.
“Over the past year, the New York market has markedly changed creating a host of opportunities,” said Maire Mason, Vice President and General Manager of the station. “More than ever we solicited input from potential listeners, and have heard first hand that this is the station they’ve been looking for. We firmly believe this is the right time and appropriate implementation of a current adult contemporary format in the market.”
Added station Program Director Rick Martini, “The music will be what drives FRESH 102.7, and the on-air presentation will be subtle yet unique. As we evolve, talent will be integrated into the station’s presentation without taking anything away from the music. We are excited to be making this move and taking the chance to own the modern-day soft music position.”
Also, beginning today, FRESH 102.7 will be available online at www.fresh1027.com.
