INFINITY BROADCASTING COUNTRY STATIONS PAY TRIBUTE TO
"A VERY SPECIAL ACOUSTIC CHRISTMAS,"
A HOLIDAY ALBUM BENEFITING SPECIAL OLYMPICS
Exclusive Week-Long Programming To Include Songs From The Acoustic Album And Holiday Recollections From The Participating Artists Beginning On Monday, December 8
Listeners Eligible To Win Autographed Guitars Signed By Featured Artists On The Album
Infinity
Broadcasting country stations will kick-off "A Very
Special Acoustic Christmas" Week beginning on Monday, Dec. 8, featuring
songs from the holiday album and the candid stories from the artists as they
share their favorite Christmas memories and reveal the meaning behind their
musical selection.
"A Very Special
Acoustic Christmas" is a collection of holiday favorites performed by today's
top names in country and bluegrass, including Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson,
Alan Jackson, Alison Krauss, Marty Stuart and Wynonna, among others.
Additionally,
stations will broadcast a half-hour behind-the-scenes special on the making of
"A Very Special Acoustic Christmas."
Listeners in select markets will also be eligible to win an autographed
guitar by registering at designated local retailers.
"We

work of Special Olympics," said John Sykes, Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer, Infinity Broadcasting.

Special Olympics family is thrilled that Infinity is doing such a cool
promotion," said Executive Producer Bobby Shriver.

own this great, fun record."
All proceeds
raised by the album will go to Special Olympics, an organization which provides
year-round sports training and competition opportunities to mentally retarded
children and adults in more than 145 countries.
The "A Very Special Christmas" album series was created by Interscope
Records President Jimmy Iovine in 1987.
Executive produced by Bobby Shriver, the prior five albums have raised
more than $60 million for Special Olympics.
