INFINITY BROADCASTING NAMES MARK LIEBER VICE PRESIDENT, MANAGING DIRECTOR WEST COAST FOR INFINITY SOLUTIONS & BEYOND
Lieber To Focus On Developing Multi-Dimensional Radio Marketing Platforms
With The Entertainment Industry
Mark
Lieber has been named Vice President, Managing Director West Coast, Infinity
Solutions & Beyond (ISB), it was announced today
by Richard Lobel, Executive President of Infinity Broadcasting's in-house
marketing solutions group.
He will be
responsible for developing marketing and advertising opportunities for the
entertainment industry, including film, DVD, music and video games, on
Infinity's 185 stations.
The appointment
is effective immediately.
"Mark is a
seasoned professional and an extremely creative executive," said Lobel.
"He has a sound reputation in Hollywood with experience
across the industry.
I'm more than confident in his ability and versatility and anticipate he
will make an immediate impact in the future of Infinity."
ISB
was unveiled in March 2003 and works with clients to create packages that use
Infinity's market-leading radio stations as the core of their media campaigns
while also including multi-platform promotions like live events, in-store
programs, guerilla tactics and outdoor.
Lieber
was most recently President of Lieber Entertainment (2000-present), a
consulting and production company involved in
distribution, development, marketing and production of all media formats and
specializing in start-ups of new entities and expanding existing
corporations.
They partnered with
Renegade (Blind Date, Fifth wheel, Surreal Life) on various projects, as well
as with media heavyweight Jules Haimovitz on an upcoming project.
Lieber also
served as a consultant for Canada's
Pridevision TV and was part of the management team as President of
Entertainment.
In this capacity he
oversaw acquisitions, scheduling, development, original programming, studios,
production, and the on-air component for the channel and was also intimately
involved in all distribution, marketing and financing aspects for the
network.
The first production at Lieber
Entertainment was the television film "The Santa Claus Brothers" in association
with Nelvana/Film Roman which won an Emmy and was Gemini nominated.
From
1998-2000, Lieber was President of Televison at Film Roman, where he was
responsible for development, production and worldwide distribution.
Film Roman is one of the leading animation
production companies and has worked on such primetime hits as "The Simpsons"
and "King of the Hill," as well as original projects with Howard Stern, Norman
Lear, Steve Tisch and Kirstie Alley.
Prior
to Film Roman, Lieber launched Polygram Television's Family Entertainment
Division (1996-98).
His division was
behind the highly acclaimed Nickelodeon series, "Maisy," and served as
executive producer of "Barney's First Adventure," for PBS and acquired and
developed "Sitting Ducks," currently seen on the Cartoon Network.
In
addition, Lieber was Senior Vice President, Domestic Television, Saban Entertainment where he launched numerous series and
was responsible for all sales to networks, syndication, cable, and ancillary
media outlets.
During his tenure, Saban
became the leading independent supplier of product in the family marketplace.
Lieber
was graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
He lives in Los Angeles.
