CHAD BROWN NAMED VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER
OF WCBS-FM

Matt Timothy To Serve As WCBS-AM's General Sales Manager

Joel Hollander, President and Chief Operating Officer, Infinity Broadcasting, has named Chad Brown Vice President and General Manager, WCBS-FM. The appointment is effective February 23. Brown, who recently was General Sales Manager for WCBS-AM, will continue to serve as Director of Sales for the six Infinity stations in New York, a position he has held since 2003.

"Chad's contributions, dedication and unmatched expertise have been invaluable to our success," said Hollander. "He has built and led a sales team which has greatly improved the revenue position of WCBS-AM in the market and has played an important role in maximizing the station's association with the New York Yankees. This is an exciting new opportunity for him and I know of no more qualified executive to take on this important role."

In a related announcement, Matt Timothy, who has served as Vice President, Marketing and Development for CBS 2 in New York since 2003, will succeed Brown as General Sales Manager for WCBS Newsradio 880. He will report to Steve Swenson, Vice President and General Manager of the station.

Commenting on the announcement, Swenson added, "I'm very excited to have Matt join our sales team. He brings to us a wealth of experience from cable to television to the newest of all media - the internet. His creativity and cross-platform vision will greatly enhance WCBS Newsradio as we become an even more valuable and diverse marketing partner for our clients."

Brown has served as General Sales Manager for WCBS-AM for more than four years. He had previously served as Vice President/General Manager at Interep overseeing a division of Infinity radio sales. A veteran CBS radio sales executive, Brown joined CBS Radio Representatives in 1988 as an account executive in Atlanta, and was later named the Southern Regional Manager overseeing offices in Atlanta, Dallas and Philadelphia. He has also held similar positions in the Central Region (Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis and Minneapolis) and the Eastern Region (New York, Philadelphia, Boston and Atlanta).

Timothy began his career as research analyst for Paramount Domestic Television in 1991. He served as research director for KPIX-TV in San Francisco from 1993-94 and was later named account executive for the Viacom owned television station. He returned to New York as Director of Sales for CBS New Media in 1997. Following a brief period as Vice President of Sales for Tech TV, Timothy returned to CBS in 1999 as Vice President/General Manager of the CBS Internet Group where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of CBS.com and CBSNews.com. In 2000, Timothy was named Vice President/General Manager of Viacom Local Networks. During his tenure he built a network of more than 40 local television and radio station websites across the country.
