TODD WALLACE NAMED VICE PRESIDENT, OLDIES PROGRAMMING,
INFINITY BROADCASTING
Todd Wallace was named Vice
President, Oldies Programming, Infinity Broadcasting, it was announced today by
Steve Rivers, President, Programming.
The appointment is effective immediately.
Wallace's responsibilities will include working with and
advising the Program Directors of Infinity's 16 Oldies stations on program
development, strategy and the creation of format specific promotions and
events.
He will retain his current
responsibilities as Operations Manager for Infinity's three stations in Phoenix - KOOL-FM, where
he also serves as Program Director, KZON-FM and KMLE-FM, as position he has
held since April 2004.
"With his talent and focus
I have seen Todd literally take a station from "worst to first" with lightening
speed many times," said Rivers.
"I have
learned so much from him over the years and congratulate him on his new
position."

Wallace launched his programming career in the early 70s
after having been a No. 1 DJ at several legendary Top 40 stations, including
KLIF, KIMN, KILT, CKLW, KTSA, and KEZY. He previously served as AM/FM's
Director of Operations in Phoenix
from 1999-2000 and was Operations Manager/Program Director of KTAR/KKLT from
1994-97.
Wallace is the only program
director to have taken five different Phoenix
radio stations to a leadership position in the market.
In addition to being internationally recognized as the
founding father of "callout" music research, Wallace is one of the pioneers of
modern radio programming theory, having introduced such concepts as weekly
tracking research, the "P1" level of preferential listening and "phantom"
cume.
For 28 years, Wallace's consulting
practice was involved with more than 100 radio stations in the United States, Canada,
Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines,
and the U.K.
Wallace resides in the Arrowhead
Lakes subdivision of Glendale, Ariz.
