TIM SABEAN NAMED VICE PRESIDENT, ACTIVE ROCK PROGRAMMING, INFINITY BROADCASTING

Veteran Infinity Programmer Adds Responsibility For Seven Stations

Steve Rivers, President of Programming, Infinity Broadcasting, announced today a reorganization of management over its more than 30 Rock stations. Tim Sabean has been named Vice President, Active Rock Programming. He joins Norm Winer, Vice President, Adult Rock Programming, and Kevin Weatherly and Oedipus, who oversee the programming operations of Infinity's Alternative Rock stations.

Sabean will supervise the programming at Infinity's younger, mainstream Rock stations, including WYSP, WBCN-FM in Boston, WRKZ-FM in Pittsburgh, KUFO-FM in Portland, KSRX-FM in San Antonio, WAZU-FM in Columbus, and WBUF-FM in Buffalo. He will continue to serve as Vice President of Programming for Infinity's WYSP-FM, WPHT-AM, WIP-AM, KYW-AM and WOGL-FM in Philadelphia, as well as Operations Manager for WYSP, a position he has held for the past 13 years. The appointment is effective immediately.

Winer also serves as Program Director for WXRT-FM in Chicago and will focus his expert attention on Infinity's 11 AAA and Classic Rock stations.

"Infinity's Rock programmers are second to none," said Rivers. "Norm, Kevin and Oedipus are proven leaders in their industry and Tim's resume of programming legendary stations and winning countless ratings battles speaks volumes about his strategic ability and creativity. I look forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead and welcome Tim to our team of format captains."

Since joining Infinity in 1991, Sabean has supported operations at Infinity's WJFK-FM, WXRK-FM, WKRK-FM and WCKG-FM, where he helped guide the station to a leading position in the Chicago market.

Prior to that, he held programming positions at WLS-AM/FM and WLUP-FM in Chicago, KLOS-FM in Los Angeles, and WCKG and was instrumental in the stations record ratings performance.

Sabean was born in Minneapolis, Minn. and attended the University of Minnesota. He currently resides in Valley Forge, Penn. with his wife and two children.
