Country, Highlighting Featured Job Listings Specific to Each Market
Maynard, MA and New York, NY - December 10, 2004 -
Monster®,
the leading global online careers property and flagship brand of Monster
Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: MNST), and Infinity Broadcasting, one of the largest
major-market radio operators in the United States, today announced a long-term
strategic marketing agreement that includes a comprehensive career services
program on 180 Infinity radio stations nationwide.
The one-year agreement begins in December
and has both on-air and online components extending Monster's presence to radio
stations in 41 U.S.
markets, serving an estimated 70 million weekly listeners and online visitors.
Local jobs by area employers will be promoted to inspire
and motivate radio listeners to take advantage of local opportunities and
career enhancement tools on Monster.
Infinity stations will also provide customized on-air Monster messaging
featuring job listings from local employers specific to each market and job
search success stories will be rewarded with on-air recognition and
prizes.
Monster will also highlight
career enhancement tools and advice from Monster experts regarding a range of
topics, including resume writing tips and interview skills, via Infinity
stations nationwide.
"As we head into 2005, Monster will expand its efforts to
help job seekers and employers in local markets; and working with Infinity, a
leader in the radio medium, is an integral part of demonstrating how Monster
can be a careers resource at the local level, said Brad Baker, SVP, Product and
Marketing, Monster.
"Additionally,
entrepreneurs and small business owners are at the heart of the U.S. economy, and this agreement will
significantly elevate Monster's presence before them - enabling us to reach
more employers and workers across America than ever before."
The agreement also incorporates various online elements,
including advertising on Infinity radio station websites, as well as a
co-branded microsite for each station where site visitors can find links to
local job listings, search features and incentives.
"We are excited to develop this new relationship with
Monster, a leader in the online career category, and utilize our extensive
reach to consumers nationwide to convey their important message," said David
Goodman, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Infinity.
"Our stations will provide Monster with a
platform to generate a consistent marketing presence throughout the year and
allow us to provide targeted career advice and job opportunities to millions of
listeners in a localized and personal format."
