ROB BARNETT NAMED PRESIDENT, PROGRAMMING FOR
INFINITY BROADCASTING
Rob
Barnett has been named President, Programming, Infinity Broadcasting,
it was announced today by Joel Hollander, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer,
Infinity.
He will oversee programming
operations at Infinity's 183 radio stations, as well as lead initiatives for
the company, including talent recruitment and development and integration of
Infinity content with emerging technologies.
The appointment is effective immediately.
Barnett will report to Hollander.
Barnett
joined Infinity in May 2004 as Senior Vice President of Infinity Original
Programming and was instrumental in developing and implementing branded
destination programs including STREET DATE, INFINITY REGISTERS AMERICA and BILL
CLINTON CONNECTS WITH AMERICA.

vision, strategic insight and business acumen working with programmers, talent
and industry executives," said Hollander.
"He has enjoyed success at every step in his career and has made a
strong impact in our operations since joining Infinity.

Infinity will continue to prosper as we develop new formats, personalities and content
unique to our stations."
Barnett assumes the role previously held by Steve
Rivers who will remain with Infinity serving as a consultant and special
advisor to the company on a wide range of projects.
He will report to Hollander.
Prior to
joining Infinity, Barnett was supervising producer for the Discovery Times
Channel's "Staffers," a reality series on the 2004 Presidential campaign.
In 2003, Barnett supervised production of
DVDs and CD soundtracks for PBS's "Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues," a series of seven films by award-winning
directors.
Prior to that, Barnett held
management positions at Viacom's MTV/VH1 from 1989-2000 in music, production
and programming.
He began his career in
radio at Boston's
WAAF-FM, and created exclusive, live station event with the Rolling Stones, among
other events.
He served as on-air
personality, Music Director and Program Director for the station, and also held
similar positions at stations in Dallas and Los Angeles.
