MATT TIMOTHY NAMED VICE PRESIDENT, STREAMING MEDIA
FOR INFINITY BROADCASTING
Matt Timothy has
been named Vice President of Streaming Media for Infinity Broadcasting.
The announcement was made today by David
Goodman, President of Marketing.
The
appointment is effective immediately.
"Matt is well versed in technology, integrated media
and marketing, and a seasoned veteran in bringing together new media and
traditional media in a way that is compelling to the end user and advertisers,"
said Goodman.
"As we expand into the
streaming marketplace we are thrilled to have someone of Matt's caliber
overseeing our efforts in this area."
Timothy
most recently was General Sales Manager for WCBS Newsradio 880 in New York since February
2004.
He was instrumental in launching
streaming audio of the station online and developing unique marketing solutions
for clients that resulted in significant new revenue for the station.
Timothy began
his career as research analyst for Paramount Domestic Television in 1991.
He served as research director for KPIX-TV in
San Francisco
from 1993-94 and was later named account executive for the Viacom owned
television station.
From 1995-97 he was
manager of KPIX interactive putting together one of the fist television
websites in the country.
He returned to New York as Director of
Sales for CBS New Media in 1997.
Following a brief period as Vice President of Sales for ZDTV, Timothy
returned to CBS in 1999 as Vice President/General Manager of the CBS Internet
Group where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of CBS.com and
CBSNews.com and developed the website for CBS's "Survivor."
In 2001, Timothy was named Vice
President/General Manager of Viacom Local Networks.
During his tenure he built a network of more
than 40 local television and radio station websites across the country.
Timothy was graduated from Hofstra University
with a degree in English.
He resides in Port Washington, N.Y.
with his wife, and three children.
