INFINITY BROADCASTING NAMES SANDY SMALLENS
VICE PRESIDENT, INTERACTIVE MARKETING AND SALES
Infinity
Broadcasting today announced that Sandy Smallens has joined the Company as Vice
President, Interactive Marketing and Sales.
It was announced by Rich Lobel, Executive Vice President, Infinity
Solutions and Beyond (ISB).
The
appointment is effective immediately.

and more advertisers look for creative approaches to drive business,
the
integration of radio with on-line has proven to be a dynamite
combination as evidenced by recent programs done for Monster.com and
DaimlerChrysler," said Lobel.
"Sandy's new media
experience makes him an unparalleled weapon for Infinity helping us
deliver
superior programs to our advertisers."
Smallens
joins Infinity from ssDmm, a boutique digital marketing consultancy
specializing in accelerating the growth of technology, entertainment and media
companies which he founded in 2003.
He
was previously President and Chief Operating Officer of Oddcast from
2002-03.
As the second in command,
Smallens had direct responsibility for sales, marketing and PR
for the privately-held Internet technology company.
He conceived, pitched products and managed
all aspects of accounts with major advertising agencies, as well as clients
such as Coca cola, McDonalds, MTV, Unilever and ESPN.
From 1999-2001,
Smallens was Executive Vice President for Vivendi Universal Net USA where he
was responsible for the creation, development, licensing, marketing and
delivery of all content for GetMusic, Rollingstone.com and Farmclub.com.
Additionally, he launched and successfully
marketed several groundbreaking programs, including "GetMusic Karaoke,"
"Videolab," and "The A List."
Prior to that,
he was Senior Vice President of SonicNet Inc./MTVi
with responsibility for the creation, delivery and marketing of all content for
the largest online music network.
He
also served as Vice President and General Manager of Prodigy Internet
(1996-98); Senior Director of Marketing and New Media (1995-96), and Director,
Media/Interactive Services (1993-95) for Atlantic Records.
He began his
career as a freelance media writer in 1987 and was named Vice President,
Marketing and Creative Service for Set To Run Public
Relations in 1990.
In 1993 he founded
Dog & Pony Interactive creating interactive multimedia presentations for a
wide range of clients.
Smallens was graduated from Yale University
with a degree in political philosophy in 1987.
He was a founding member, bassist and vocalist with Giant/Warner Bros.
recording artists Too Much Joy.
Smallens
resides in Bronxville, N.Y. with his wife and two children.
