BILL SHEA NAMED INFINITY BROADCASTING'S VICE PRESIDENT,
AUTOMOTIVE MARKETING DIRECTOR
Veteran Marketing And Communications Executive To Create Exclusive Partnerships With Automotive Industry And Infinity Radio Stations
Bill
Shea has been named Vice President, Automotive Marketing Director, Infinity Broadcasting, it was announced today by Rich Lobel,
Executive Vice President, Infinity Solutions and Beyond.
Shea will be based in Detroit and report to Lobel.
The appointment is effective immediately.
Shea
will be responsible for developing integrated marketing programs for the
automotive industries' corporate, branding and retail strategies.
"The automotive
industry represents enormous potential for Infinity," said Lobel.
"What's more, the timing has never been
better.
The industry is completely open
to new and innovative approaches of building deeper experiential bonds with
consumers on a local level.
Bill's extensive
industry experience on the Detroit
agency side makes him a perfect candidate to create creative platforms that
take advantage of the total power Infinity has to offer."
Added Lobel, "Powerful touch points such as on-air, online, mobile
devices, live events, and more, can all be integrated to create a network that
connects with customers like never before."
Shea
has more than 25 years experience in marketing and communications, including
senior executive positions with leading automotive advertising agencies.
He joins Infinity from cXc Services, Inc.
where he served as Executive Vice President, Communications Director for the
fulfillment company dedicated to supplying internet appliances and technology
that provides solutions for customers and communication needs.
Prior to that, he was Executive Director,
Account Services for Interpublic Group's Campbell-Ewald.
From
2001-04, Shea was BBDO Worldwide's Group Senior Vice President, Managing
Account Director for Chrysler and Jeep Retail Communications and
Operations.
Shea previously enjoyed a
20-year successful career with Interpublic serving as Senior Vice President,
Group Managing Director for Chrysler, Plymouth and Jeep Retail/Brand
Communications (1996-2000), Chrysler and Plymouth Retail Communications and
Operations (1993-96) and Chrysler Brand (1990-93), as well as Senior Vice
President, Managing Director for Chrysler Corporate and Strategic Initiatives
(1982-90) and Vice President, Account Supervisor for Chrysler-Plymouth and
Dodge Dealer Advertising Associations (1980-82).
Shea
began his career in advertising in 1977 as account supervisor for BBDO managing
the national Dodge car and truck, and Mitsubishi accounts.
Shea
was graduated from Ferris
State University
with a degree in marketing and advertising, and also attended Michigan State
University School of Business Management.
He is a member of the Detroit Advertising Association, the Adcraft Club
of Detroit and
the Detroit Economic Club.
Shea resides
in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. with his wife, Debra.
