INFINITY BROADCASTING CHAIRMAN AND CEO JOEL HOLLANDER TO ADDRESS ADVERTISING COMMUNITY DURING ADVERTISING WEEK 2005
Radio Executive To Be Interviewed By Fox News' Bill O'Reilly
Infinity Broadcasting's Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer Joel Hollander will be the first speaker in the five-part Panasonic
Ideas for Life Keynote Lecture Series on
Monday, Sept. 26 at 3:00PM during Advertising Week 2005.
Interviewed by Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly
at the Museum of Television
and Radio in New York City,
Hollander will discuss a wide range of topics that are relevant to today's
radio business.
"I am
thrilled that I have been asked to address the advertising community at one of
the industry's premier events," said Hollander.
"There are a number of fresh and exciting programming ideas and
technological advances taking place in the world of radio and Advertising Week
2005 is the perfect platform to showcase them."
Advertising Week 2005
is the largest gathering of advertising and media decision-makers in North America. The five-day event runs from
September 26-30, 2005 and includes a diverse mix of keynotes and panels, public
exhibitions, conferences, awards shows and unique special events. Advertising
Week is comprised of nearly 300 events, is supported by 33 major advertising
and media trade groups and is funded by a host of corporate partners.
Hollander
was named Chairman and CEO of Infinity in January 2005.
He has overall responsibility for Infinity's
178 radio stations, and also oversees day-to-day operations of the
division.
Previously, Hollander was
President and Chief Operating Officer of the company since May 2003.
From 1998 to 2003, he served as President and
CEO of Westwood One.
During his tenure,
Hollander acquired Metro Networks, and developed and expanded partnerships with
the NFL, NCAA, Notre Dame Football, Wimbledon, USGA, The British Open, The
Masters, Marketwatch.com, FOX News, National Academy of Recording Arts and
Sciences/The GRAMMYs, and The Academy of Country Music.
O'Reilly joined FOX
News Channel as the anchor and host of "The O'Reilly Factor" in 1996. The
O'Reilly Factor, seen weeknights, consistently ranks as the most-watched
program on cable news and has caused the powerful in America to duck for cover as the rigidly
enforced "No Spin Zone" deals with the nation's most important issues
in a straightforward and provocative manner.
In 2002, O'Reilly launched "The Radio Factor" quickly becoming one of
the most successful syndicated radio shows ever.
He is also the author of several bestselling
books, including The O'Reilly Factor and
The No Spin Zone.
Additionally, Infinity
will serve as the exclusive provider of streamed and on-demand audio content of
Advertising Week 2005 allowing individuals not in attendance to hear broadcasts
of select keynotes and panels.
The
content will be available for real time listening or download at www.infinitybroadcasting.com
beginning on Monday, Sept. 26.
Infinity is one of the largest
major-market radio operators in the United States, with stations
covering news, alternative rock, country, FM talk, classic rock, oldies, JACK
and urban formats, among others. A division of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B),
Infinity operates 178 radio stations, the majority of which are in the nation's
top 50 markets. Additionally, Infinity is home to 32 of the country's leading
