WALTER Z. BERGER NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT ANDCHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER, INFINITY BROADCASTING


Mr. Walter Z. Berger has been named to Infinity Broadcasting's top financial post as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, it was announced today by Joel Hollander, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Infinity. Mr. Berger will assume his responsibilities with the Company in January 2006. He will report to Mr. Hollander.

"Walter Berger has the wealth of corporate financial experience needed to support Infinity's financial strategies and growth objectives for the future," Mr. Hollander said. "His deep appreciation of our business and outstanding reputation among the Wall Street community are two key factors that led me to this appointment. As an integral member of Infinity's management team, Walter's business acumen and disciplined leadership will be a welcome addition to Infinity at this important time of evolution in our industry."

Mr. Berger succeeds Jacques Tortoroli, who, in October, was named Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of new Viacom, following the separation of the organization into two publicly traded companies.

Mr. Berger formerly was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and member of the Board of Directors of Indianapolis-based Emmis Communications Corporation (1999-2005), recently named one of FORTUNE Magazine's 100 Best Places to Work.

Prior to Emmis, Mr. Berger served as Group President of the $3.3 billion Energy Marketing Division for LG&E Energy Corporation, where he had previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Berger held a number of senior financial and operating management positions in the manufacturing, service and energy fields. He also spent seven years in financial management roles at Baker Hughes, Inc.

Mr. Berger is a cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a B.B.A. He is also a C.P.A. who serves on numerous civic boards and committees. Mr. Berger currently resides in Indianapolis with his wife and two sons and will relocate to the tri-state area.
