CBS Radio's "The World Famous KROQ-FM" To Debut Online On Monday, February 6
Leading Rock Station Among More Than A Dozen Top-Rated Music And Talk Stations, Including WUSN-FM, WPHT-FM And WPGC-FM, To Begin Offering Live Internet Streaming.
The country's most listened to Rock station,
KROQ-FM in Los Angeles, will begin offering its programming
online beginning on Monday, Feb. 6. Hit shows from
Kevin & Bean, Jed the Fish, and Stryker,
as well as LOVELINE, will be available to listeners around
the world at www.kroq.com.
In addition, CBS RADIO will also provide listeners
with immediate online audio access to 13 leading music and
news-talk stations, including WUSN-FM (Chicago www.us99country.com), KITS-FM
(San Francisco www.live105.com), KLLC-FM (San
Francisco www.radioalice.com), WPHT-AM
(Philadelphia www.thebigtalker1210.com),
KHJZ-FM (Houston www.khjz.com),
KILT-FM (Houston www.kilt.com),
WPGC-FM (Washington, D.C. www.wpgc955.com), WPGC-AM
(Washington, D.C. www.heaven1580am.com), KBKS-FM
(Seattle www.kiss1061.com),
KJAQ-FM (Seattle www.965krock.com), KMPS-FM (Seattle
www.kmps.com), KZOK-FM (Seattle
www.kzok.com) and WKQC-FM
(Charlotte www.k1047.com).
The launch of KROQ-FM brings the total number of CBS RADIO
streaming stations to 50. An additional 10 custom stations are
available exclusively on the web, including KROCK2 (Alternative),
WYSP.com (Rock), WCBSFM.com (Greatest Hits of All Time) and
WJMK.com (Greatest Hits of the 60s and 70s).

presence and have moved quickly these past 10 months integrating
audio of a number of stations onto the web," said Matt
Timothy, Vice President of Streaming Media, CBS RADIO.
"Extending our core assets in a changing media landscape
meets the demands of the increasing online listening community,
as well as advertisers who continue to seek additional outlets to
reach the consumer."
