Anne-Marie Petrie Named Business Development Director For CBS Radio's California Stations
Anne-Marie Petrie has been named Business Development Director
for CBS RADIO stations in the state of California. She will
focus on creating, implementing and managing sales strategies for
government initiatives and political candidates. The appointment
was made by Lisa Decker, Senior Vice President, Western Region,
CBS RADIO, and is effective immediately.
CBS RADIO owns and operates 33 stations throughout Los
Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Sacramento, Riverside, and
Fresno. Petrie will be based in Sacramento.
"Activity in this category has always played an
important role at CBS RADIO stations." said Decker.
"Having Anne-Marie on board creates an immediate efficiency
and expands what we can offer our clients. We are in an ideal
position as the elections heat up in California."
Petrie has an extensive professional background in
non-profit fundraising, political public relations, radio sales,
and distribution in the broadcast and entertainment industries.
During her almost 10 year stint 1985-1994 as an account executive
at the award-winning KINK-FM in Portland, Petrie posted record
local sales achievements. As the Director of Distribution, and
Development Team Leader with Will Vinton Studios, she managed
domestic and international distribution of Vinton Library. Here
she initiated negotiations and co-production relationships for
new animated projects.
Additionally, Petrie served as Director of Client Relations
for Nelson Communications Group/Porter Novelli, where she formed
strong relationships with a wide variety of California businesses
to encourage grass roots political participation and
fundraising.
Petrie's public service includes board memberships of
WEAVE (Women Escaping A Violent Environment), B Street Theatre
(Fundraising Chair), Sacramento Kings Women's Organization
and Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue. She was graduated
from Boston University with a degree in English language and
literature.
