Jonathan Azu Named CBS Radio's Vice President, Strategic Music Partnerships
CBS RADIO today announced that Jonathan Azu, who has
served as Director of Marketing since 2004, has been promoted to
the newly-created position of Vice President of Strategic Music
Partnerships. Azu will continue to report to David Goodman,
President of Marketing, CBS RADIO. The appointment is effective
immediately.
As the Vice President of Strategic Music Partnerships,
Azu will focus on developing integrated multi-media programs
which link advertisers, labels and artists with CBS RADIO's
powerful music brands.
"Having Jonathan in this hyper-focused role will
allow CBS RADIO to further create customized vehicles for our
clients incorporating our assets and some of the biggest names in
the music industry," said Goodman. "Consumers can
expect a diverse range of on-air and online features as we
continue to evolve the traditional listener
experience."
Azu was graduated from Drake University with a degree in
marketing in 1999. He began his career at CBS RADIO's
KEZK-FM in St. Louis as Marketing Coordinator, and was later
named Promotions Director for the station (2000). In 2001, Azu
was promoted to Internet Developer/Web Developer for KEZK and
KYKY-FM. Two years later he joined the Company's corporate
operations in New York as Marketing Coordinator, and in 2004 was
named Director of Marketing working with clients such as AOL and
ExxonMobil. He currently manages the marketing and sales of CBS
RADIO's Street Date Delivered by AT&T blue room
series.
