Pio Ferro has been named Program
Director Mega 107.5 KMVK-FM Dallas and CBS RADIO’s Vice President of Spanish
Programming.  The announcement was made
jointly today by Charlie Wilkinson, General Manager for the station and KLOL-FM
in Houston, and
Greg Strassell, Senior Vice President, Programming, CBS RADIO.  The appointment is effective immediately.

Ferro, a veteran
programmer at SBS, will build on the early success of Mega 107.5 which launched
in February 2009 and immediately moved to a prominent position among all
Spanish stations in Dallas-Fort Worth.
As Vice President of Programming for CBS RADIO’s Spanish formatted
stations (KMVK, KLOL, WLZL-FM/Washington, D.C., and WYUU-FM in Tampa), Ferro will work with the local
programming teams to build on their brands and develop and grow audience share.

On Ferro’s
appointment, Wilkinson says, “Among Spanish language programmers, Pio is at the
top of the pyramid.  There is no one else
whose background compares, and he’ll make a significant impact in the Dallas-Fort Worth
market with Mega. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the market and the CBS RADIO
family.”

“We worked
closely with Pio when we launched El Zol, our first major market Spanish
language station, in 2005,” said Strassell.
“We couldn’t be more excited about his fulltime commitment to our
growing portfolio of Spanish stations.”

Ferro added, “I
can barely contain my excitement. The Dallas/Fort Worth market is
vibrant, CBS RADIO is a great company, and we’ll do incredible things at Mega
107.5. CBS RADIO’s commitment to Spanish language formats is clear and I take
this opportunity knowing we will achieve great success.”

Ferro previously
served as Vice President of Programming for SBS and has experience with
stations in Los Angles, New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Puerto Rico. He will be moving to Dallas with his wife and two children.
