According to the most
recently released Arbitron ratings, 97.1 AMP RADIO has amassed more than two
million weekly listeners (2,209,400 P6+ Monday-Sunday, 6AM-Midnight, March 2009
Week 2).  This marks more than 215%
growth when compared to the station’s weekly cume average since the beginning
of 2009 (Metro Weeklies – Jan. Week 1-4, Feb. Week 1-2).  AMP RADIO launched on Friday, Feb. 20.
 

AMP RADIO ranks as the
sixth most popular station in the market among Adults 18-34 increasing its
average share to a 5.0 (up 61% from the station’s previous high this year: 3.1
share).  Women 18-34 are also tuning into
the station at extraordinary rates ranking the station 5th in the
market among its target demographic (4.8 share).
 

Most impressive is AMP
RADIO’s teen audience (12-17 years of age). 
According to Arbitron data from March Week 2, AMP RADIO is Los Angeles’s 2nd
most popular station among the influential and trend setting demographic.  AMP RADIO has seen its share increase from a
2.2 in its first week on the air, to a 3.6 (week 2), 5.5 (week 3) to its
current 9.1 share of the audience.
