Don Howe has been named Senior Vice President and Market Manager, CBS RADIO Tampa and Orlando, it was announced today by Scott Herman, Executive Vice President of Operations for the Company.  The appointment is effective on Wednesday, April 1.

Howe replaces Ed Krampf who was named Senior Vice President and Market Manager for CBS RADIO Los Angeles last week.  Howe most recently led our operations in Denver overseeing KIMN-FM, KWLI-FM and KXKL-FM from 2005-2008.  Those stations were sold to Wilks Broadcasting earlier this year.

“During his tenure in Denver Don proved to be a very innovative leader in new sales strategies expanding event and non-spot revenue and embracing digital in a big way,” said Herman.  “He is a talented and energetic manager with a great pedigree and we are thrilled to have him back working day to day with many of our stations in Florida.”

Prior to joining CBS RADIO, Howe held myriad positions for Clear Channel, including President of Clear Channel Advantage for two years; Senior Vice President, West Coast where he managed staffs in nearly 20 markets; and General Manager for their station’s in Denver.

Howe’s career in radio began in 1983 as an account executive at WYNF in Tampa.
