Michael K. Kincaid has been named President, Sales, CBS RADIO, it was announced today by Dan Mason, President and CEO of the division.  The appointment is effective on Monday, May 14.  Kincaid will be based in Los Angeles and report directly to Mason.


In this newly-created position, Kincaid will be working alongside Mason, CBS RADIO’s regional vice presidents, and the sales management teams at our 144 radio stations to help drive revenue performance.  He also brings successful strategies that will establish CBS RADIO as a major player in what could be the largest political advertising pool in history.  Additionally, he will oversee CBS RADIO’s national sales representation at both Interep and Katz Radio Group.

  A veteran radio and television executive, Kincaid most recently was Senior Vice President of Sales for CBS’s television duopoly in Los Angeles, including KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV.  He joined KCAL in 1997 and increased his oversight to the two stations in 2002.  Prior to that, Kincaid led the sales efforts of Liberty Sports (currently Fox Sports) as President of the department (1994-97), and was Senior Vice President of Sales for Prime Ticket (1988-94).

  He began his career in radio with WXYZ in Detroit, and later went on to a local sales position with KABC-TV in Los Angeles.  Following a stint in National Representative Sales, Chicago and New York, for ABC-TV (1978-79), Kincaid later managed spot sales for ABC-TV in Detroit and Chicago (1979-80 and 1980-81, respectively), and was also Sales Manager for KABC-TV (1981-88).

  Kincaid attended the University of California Los Angeles majoring in business.
